This project had a challenging turn around time with little more than one week to source props, build rigs and test a wide range of effects. These were all put together creating some truly dramatic moments during a four day studio shoot that focused on the close up micro moments of water. In only a few days we worked with 16oz studios to capture a vast array of jaw dropping microscopic happenings ranging from the freezing of an icy tundras to the delicate touch of water striking a leaf during a rainforest deluge.

For this close up shoot we created over 20 unique water, ice and salt crystal close up effects. This enabled the viewer to see water acting in ways that had never been before. From inside the capillaries of a plant, (pictured) to the poisonous airborne particles of a great salt lake.

A range of custom rigs were built allowing the camera to capture a unique glimpse inside the mysterious world of water. From vortex tubes, (pictured) to rain bars specially created to suit the studio space. We were able to accommodate the needs of the client delivering rigs that created the effects they desired.

A huge number of props and set dressing items were needed to create the large number of individual shots. When working on a project like this we like to use live spreadsheets that can be shared with the client helping to ensure that no detail however small is missed.
If you are looking for some effects no matter how small, we look forwards to you getting in touch.
