Handcuffed - Last Pair Standing - Jonathan Ross - Channel 4
In this show the couples are handcuffed together through thick and thin, as they navigate eating, dressing and even sleeping just inches apart. Shackled around the clock, the pairs are sent on a road trip across our beautiful nation, in the hope they find common ground along the way. If they pair can last longest chained together, they’ll be in the running for a £100,000 jackpot
Custom Handcuffs
One of the challenges for this show was making sure the contributors stayed handcuffed no matter what they were doing. To make this possible they consulted with us and we were able to build bespoke kits the mobile crews could carry with them catering for all handcuff health and safety needs. This included, custom built 2m toilet time cuffs, activity safe breakaway cuffs, lightweight rest cuffs and every day standard use cuffs. All of the handcuffs used were the real deal and police approved.
Breakaway Links
Working with Health and Safety advisors and following rigorous trials and development we built bespoke breakaway handcuffs. The links in these cuffs failed if put under excessive linear forces exceeding 10kg ensuring the contributors were able to participate in dynamic activities without the risk of not being able to disengage in the event of an emergency.
Custom Sized Cuffs
It turns out that in the world of handcuffs one size does not always fit all. Two of the contributors in the show were of very different proportions so we built them some custom cuffs that fitted the unique pair perfectly.
